I am excited to announce that as of June 1st, 2011, I will be the new owner and Executive Director of the Kewaunee Academy of Fine Art (KAFA). I have a fabulous staff and student body, with a great line up of workshops and full time/part time classes available. This summer we will have plein aire workshops, the nude in nature, and a youth workshop covering ample subjects to get your student moving in the right direction. This Fall we will be working on adding sculpture, watercolor and the clothed/costumed model to the already well-rounded curriculum. Any questions ?… please feel free to email me.
Thank you Wisconsin Watercolor Society for hosting my demo on Saturday morning in Milwaukee. It was wonderful to have all the artists present and be able to meet and share watercolor tips and secrets. Here is the finished painting of my demo. The big decision was…background or no background??? You can see I chose a background, I felt it needed one to finish the look. Please join me and the Wisconsin Watercolor Society at our spring show at the Rahr West Museum in Manitowoc. The reception is May 22 from 1-4pm, and the dates of the show are May 22-June 19, 2011.
