This guy is gettting delivered and clear coated so he can be set out in Green Bay for the summer.

Three middle schoolers finished their first paintings of the session! Emily, Jess, and John. Fantastic!!!
Here is what I’m working on for a fundraiser at this time. The funds will support the Einstein Project here in Green Bay that supplies science kits to elementary schools. He will be displayed in Green Bay and then auctioned off in September. His title is “Country roads Take Me Home”
Here are two photos of the original owner/builder of my studio when it was a flour mill specializing in Bohemian Rye flour.

Here is a schedule for upcoming classes at the mill, contact me for a registration form.
New students will begin with drawing techniques, studying line, value and proportion. The students will receive a supply kit that contains a sketchbook, a large drawing pad, various types of drawing pencils, and eraser.
Returning students will begin with painting. The students will use the studio’s paints and brushes, and will be given boards for painting. Please bring in your drawing supplies to prep for paintings. Students may want to bring a smock or an old shirt to leave in class.

This is where all the big decisions are made in Madison, and this is where my work has been chosen to hang for 6 months.
Because of the popularity of my two classes, we’ve added two more to relieve the waiting list. If you are interested, please contact NWTC to register, go to www.nwtc.edu . They will be held on Tuesdays downtown Green Bay in the beautiful Art Garage Studio.
Here are the class numbers:
Watercolor Class #26702 – Dates 1/12-3/2 9:00-11:40
Oil Paint Class #26703 – Dates 1/12-3/2 1:00-3:40
The high school girls finished up the Fall session last night with their first figure drawing. MacGyver was their live model. This is my demo in charcoal.

Drawing from life is very challenging, but they dove in head on and we are very proud of their accomplishments. They only had about 2 1/2 hours to spend on this. More drawing and painting from life in the next session.
