Last night was the first night for my older students (5th -8th grade)to attend class. We worked on proportion, simple shapes, relationships of objects, and clean lines. I am attatching their first drawings utilizing what we talked about. I think they are fantastic! Hopefully next week I will have permission from the younger class to show off their pieces of art too. Enjoy!! Oh, and some teachers get apples, but really special art teachers get fresh flowers on the first day! thank you Brooke!
Some long time friends stopped in for a suprise visit at the opening! What a treat! Most of these kids were babies when they were last together. We have 10 between us, but only 7 could make it.
The reception was fantastic, thanks to everyone who came out, and thanks to all of you still visiting the show!

My students are registered and I placed the order for supplies…three weeks from today our classes begin! the new tables and chairs have arrived, and there is a fresh coat of paint on the walls…I think I may be more excited than the kids.
My 16 yr old niece rang the Mayo clinic bell yesterday. She is a cancer survivor. AMEN.
