WOW! we logged in about 350 visitors for the Studio Tour this weekend. That is amazing. I had a wonderful time meeting all of the art appreciators and artists that ventured out on that blustery weekend. Thank you to everyone for coming out and seeing what we’ve been up to. I am already planning for next year…insulating the mill is top priority!
The times for the tour are:
Friday 12-6pm
Saturday 10-6pm
Sunday 12-5pm
Hope you can come out and meet me, MacGyver and the Mill.
Thanks to all that stopped out on Thursday to Art Night in Denmark. The weather was beautiful for sipping wine outdoors and gathering with new and old friends. All my students had matted drawings to show how hard we had been working and they brought their families and friends to see. It was a wonderful time meeting everyone in the community and getting my face out from behing the dust of the Mill!

Tomorrow evening (5-8pm) here in Denmark there will be an Art Night showcasing all the local artists from painting to jewelry to wooden bird houses and more. Come join the fun! I will have my students work on display along with some of my pieces. Email me for more info! Rumor has it there will be wine and cheese! mmmmm.

The reception was fantastic, thanks to everyone who came out, and thanks to all of you still visiting the show!
Here are some pics of my show going up. If you are near Cedarburg, please stop in and see it… don’t forget to sign my guest book! The opening reception is Saturday July 18th from 6-9 pm, come join us

Tonight’s dedication my portrait “The Storyteller” to the Seymour Library was fabulous. The people were all amazed at the likenesses of Jane and her grandchildren…I was amazed by the outpouring of love and support for this man and his incredible wife. Once again, GOODNESS is all around us.
Brian ( the hubby) thinks I should name it the “Posts from the Pig Parlor.” While renovating our 100 yr old mill, we came across this sign “Purina Pig Parlor” and dubbed the studio/greeting area the Pig Parlor. What do ya think? It ceratinly takes away any stuffiness associated with artist’s studios and their blogging.
