Well, my name’s not exactly in lights, only the street light, but the studio signs are up!! And the new doors and stairs are installed and painted! Mac Guyver’s been working overtime getting the Mill ready for more classes and the studio tour in October.
Go MacGuyver!!

Wow! who knew sandblasting was so messy! Here’s some pics of the Mill while MacGyver sandblasted on Father’s Day.

MacGyver and Monster Mill mate Marty tore down the add-on Friday to expose the original writing of the Mill. It said Denmark Flour Mills & Elevator–Albert Schornichka Proprietor. Guess who gets to fill in the lost lettering?

Had a visit from the grandson of the original owner of our Mill and house (built in 1909) He told us his childhood memories of summers at the house and helping at the Mill. His insights into the original architectural layouts of the house and mill are priceless. He promises to find pictures for us to post. He was able to help us piece some history together about these awesome structures. As we tear down an add-on, we are discovering the original lettering from the early 1900’s…wouldn’t it be cool to put that back on?
